New ad: Greene abuses PPP while bankrolling campaign
A new Cowan for Congress TV ad released this weekend informs northwest Georgia voters that Marjorie Taylor Greene’s company accepted up to $350,000 in taxpayer funds through PPP even as she has plowed approximately $1 million into her campaign.
“Atlanta Marjorie has proved time and time again that she will abandon her ‘principles’ and put her personal interests above the people of northwest Georgia,” said Spencer Hogg, Cowan’s campaign manager. “She’s running in a district where she doesn’t live – a practice she once criticized. She chose not to use the E-verify program while leading her company. Now we learn she abused taxpayer dollars by accepting as much as $350,000 in PPP funds while giving her congressional campaign nearly $1 million. If Greene has enough cash to fund her personal political ambitions, she has enough money to pay her employees without taking much-needed money from northwest Georgia taxpayers.
“The people of northwest Georgia deserve better. We have the option to send a true conservative to Washington with homegrown values. I encourage all 14th District voters to choose Cowan today or on Aug. 11. With John Cowan, you get all the conservative, none of the embarrassment.”
